We all know at least one kid who loves trains. If that kid happens to be yours, then you’ve probably been faced with a planning a train themed birthday party.  There’s also a good chance that your kid doesn’t just like trains in general, but a very specific, blue, talking train engine namedThomas.

Thomas and his friends were first introduced in a book series. The first book in the series, published in 1945 by Reverend Wilbert Vere Awdry  inspired the long running TV Show. Though first aired in 1984 in the UK, and 1989 in the US, the show and its movies are still made and enjoyed today.

Along with the cheerful engine Thomas, there is his best friend Percy, the shiny green Emily, and many others.  Though they all are different, they work together to solve problems, entertaining and educating kids along the way.

So, how do you plan a Thomas the Tank Engine Party for a kid who knows all their names and jobs and has nearly every toy?  Have a real, live train at the party of course! While our brightly colored train my not perfectly resemble Thomas or his friends you can still incorporate it into any Thomas party.

Some Thomas the train birthday ideas could include encouraging the kids to think about who the train most looks like, or they can create a new friend for Thomas.  The kids can create the name, the personality, and what job the train performs. They can even create a story about the train and its adventures, either by writing or drawing pictures depending on the ages.

The Mini Express services Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County, North San Diego County and San Bernardino County, in the state of California.  The cost is $275 for the first hour and $100 for each additional hour and can be placed along any flat surface since the train is trackless.  For more information on train rentals, feel free to contact us.
