If you have a train lover in your family, deciding on a birthday party theme should be a breeze. After all, train parties are a great option no matter who you are, right? Of course right!
That said, if you have had a train party before or if your child is a bit older, the typical train party games my not be the best way to go. Instead, why not spice up your party by making it a movie marathon? There are plenty of great train movies out there just waiting for your child and their friends to discover and love.

Polar Express — Great for all ages, and especially good during the holiday season, this movie is based on the book by the same name and is sure to fill your heart with wonder and joy.
Dumbo — While this one is not about trains per say, it does have some pretty fun train scenes, and it’s perfect for people of all ages.
The Little Engine That Could — This movie is best suited to a younger audience, but if you have a group of kids under the age of 6 in attendance, this one is sure to be a hit.
The Railway Children — Better for a slightly older age group (ages 7 and up), The Railway Children is a charming and fun movie based on the book by E. Nesbit.
After your movie marathon, bring in a kids party train to finish off an amazing party. The kids will love riding along in a train like the ones they just saw on the television, and you will love seeing the smiles on their faces.
